Hi All,
Just received my RA7000 with Memory maps load.
I set a short route on it, about 10 way points, over a distance of 8 miles. While driving the route, the map doesn't move/centralise in the screen. I had to keep moving it manually. Is there a setting I need to enable so the map scroll automatically?
Cheers
Elliot

Mine does occasionally wander away from the centre of the screen and you have to drag it back manually, the unit is not without its faults .
I have modified mine so you can rotate it and scroll the direction you are going and not have it north up constantly .

Have you clicked on the satellite lock at the top of the screen ?

was just about to say same/ thats the icon with a padlock, it keeps cursor centred or allows you to scroll all over the place.

The thing with mine, is the screen/map didn't move at all?

No, I don't think so? I am off outside to try. Will clicking on this padlock then allow the map to scroll as I move accross the ground?

Yes ..when locked on, you should scroll as you move along and the centre of the screen should roughly stay at your current location.

result, just got back in, and as predicted, with the icon locked, un-highlighted it worked perfectly!
Which leads onto the next question!
I highlighted my route, and selected follow route, but that bought a very annoying arrow! Do you guys just follow the route manually, rather than allow the GPS to guide you?

When I am using it on the bike I use the arrow as it is easy to see when up on the pegs. I do shift it across a bit though so it is out of the way and you can still see the map.
