I'm still comming. Will be at Morrisons Sun morning.
Are you sure Nogbad, the routes around Salsbury Plain are not hard, just it will take us an hour or so to get to them. I'm sure your QZ will be OK but wether your bottom can take it only you know that.

We will cruise down there and back at a speed that suits you .

Nogbad
1st May 2008, 04:25 PM
OK you talked me into it. But I won't be going much faster than 50 mph as otherwise the poor thing is screaming. I don't mind making my wife scream but not my quad.........

secret solo
1st May 2008, 06:23 PM
was just about to chastise you for using "only a 250" as an excuse but no need now. them qz engines are good for 10000km with being thrashed ;)

RED PRED

I have got a tow rope Nogbad, i could tow you to Tidworth then your engine will get a rest lol, thats a good idea with the price of petrol now, split the petrol bill lol .

Nogbad
1st May 2008, 08:49 PM
Alright RP enough of the p i s s taking - I'll upgrade one day to something bigger !! If Trevor can tow me from home to Morrisons, then RP from Morrisons to Tidworth, then anyone else can tow me all the way around, and the same on the way home, it will be a cheap day out for me. Only need buy a sarnie but if some-one buys that for me as well, then the whole day will be FREE.

I should be there at 8.30am (Morrisons) - see you all then

secret solo
1st May 2008, 09:34 PM
why you asking me??? Its raptorman that put this one together, im just along for the ride...... I suggested joining up with another group and doing old shaftsbury drove and ox-drove (which apparently has a cafe at the end?) but got informed its a ride on the plain itself so am just along to ride ;)

RED PRED
1st May 2008, 10:05 PM
Pardon me for asking lol, just thought with your local knowledge you may have assisted the route or whatever, just as long as we annoy the MOD then great, we will probably get Prince William chase us away in a Chinook lol .
The cafe bit--COOL :D

you cant really use a gps on salisbury plain as every 100yds or so is yet another crossroads then another and so on---- you just ride in a general direction and make it up as you go along. Once you decide its time to head back, thats when you use gps to find out where the hell you are...lol

Easy to annoy mod, just go off-route and go faster than the 30mph speed limit.

hey mr stupidest twat in hampshire ;) i think cos it was posted on st georges day?? (he he)

good ride, nothing planned, just made up as we went along. As usual we had the obligatory rain but didnt last too long, still got pretty wet though.

Here is what all you puddle avoiding pussys missed, congrats to lee for attempting it, and myself of course. sorry no mention for the 4x4 brigade as a puddle like that is just a walk in the park for them ;)

cant believe how youtube has trashed the quality of the vid,, grrr.

Look on my page as the other two vids shot today are also on there. http://www.youtube.com/user/rappey

LMAO, i should have twigged lol .
I think the guys only went in the field (then i followed) to avoid that puddle because they saw the fun you were having in it .
It was a good day, thanks to Malc for arranging it and the rest of you guys for turning up, thanks to Malc for the go on your quad, it was good for some of the guys to ride other quads and i think its fair to say the Outlander gets max respect :) by all who rode it .
Lets not leave it so long to meet up again, say June time for a Meon Valley run .

RED PRED
4th May 2008, 09:07 PM
It was great to be in the pack today so i could see the lines others were taking through puddles and ruts, soooo much easier than being the front guy, apart from all the dust being kicked up on the plain reducing visibility to about 10 yards lol, i think that is why i always end up in front so they can learn from my mistakes ;):D

Raptorman
5th May 2008, 11:33 AM
It was good to get 10 quads out see if we can make it more next time everyone seem to have a good time no breakdowns no incidents (sean)
A little amout of rain almost heaven videos look good look forward to the next 'inter area meet' St Meon day ;)

RED PRED
5th May 2008, 02:06 PM
Ditto that Malcolm, by which time Pompey should have won the FA Cup :) and Reading gone down :sorry::frusty::mad: .
I reckon at least 12 quads next time, Yellow Peril usually comes and we might get the elusive admin (Danny i think his name is LOL) and the mighty Warriorrider, and we may even get a few of the fair weather brigade as long as there is no imminent threat of a few spots of rain during a two week period either side of the proposed ride date LOL .
There are some we have not met yet, Wild One and Phil the Blue Raptor rider in Winklebury who has not joined the site yet but I am confident will .
Good times ahead guys but we need to keep the momentum going and not slacken off with the organising .
The only disappointment yesterday was the lack of a bacon butty establishment-tut tut !

Bring on the Meon Valley
