I have been doing a little research into the possible purchase of a new outlander XT (thanks to Gary of the inspiration).
Please do not tell my wife about this !!
I have been quoted a 2008 XT from Adrenalin on the road for £9k. Is this overpriced ?
Any opinions :-)
Im begining to think we will end up a 80% camam association .

if you go onto quadsuk and then click on dealers and then click on man machinery, ask them for a quote as they are good for can-am, they do ex-demo models in extreamly good condition as well.

Consider a demo bike as there are good savings to be made...
also try another couple of dealers to get the best deal, the lads up north use these guys http://www.guymachinery.co.uk/atvs.htm

Can I suggest you speak to Mark at Southern ATV (http://www.southernatv.co.uk/).
I took a 2007 800cc Outlander model (single seater version), added extras to get it upto XT spec + wheel arch extenders and it was considerably cheaper than what you have been quoted. I'm not sure if any 2007 models remain though ...but worth asking.
Mark at Southern ATV has been very helpful and i'm really happy with the service I've had before and after purchasing.

Catmandoes ...if you do speak to Mark at SATV mention my name and the deal I got. Maybe he can do something similar if any 2007 models remain. If only 2008 models, unfortunately it will be more expensive than I paid.
If you send me a PM i'll give you the exact details of the deal I struck.

Now thats true Rob .
However, I do know what extreme poverty Danny keeps his wife in, he goes out quadding and drinking with his pals while poor Wendy has to sit in the garage with no heating and only a kaleidoscope for entertainment, and only a stale jam sandwich to eat, she has to share the milk with the cat too .
Come on Wendy, sort him out lol

I'm in the same boat, I want to upgrade but there is not much choice at the top end of the market - especially if you dont want to pay 10k plus:mad:

I am more of a sports quad rider, been a biker all my adult life,(the last two years lol), I love power and acceleration and nimble handling so would prefer a big capacity sports, I like the 700 Raptor but everyone is getting one of them nowadays and I dont believe a great jump from the Pred in terms of overall performance, I know they have more low down torque but once the Pred is revved up they are pretty quick .
I am hoping the Japs come up with a bigger engined Raptor type quad soon, just as well my savings are not quite there yet :D

sports is good fun - you dont get much faster than my Kwak ZZR1200 road bike:D
Problem for me is I like mud, water, bogs and good old off roading - the sports quad never does it well enough for me, its great having the 4x4 with big wheels and not getting stuck so much, granted I miss the power a bit but its worth it.
I wish the japs would bring out a Renegade rival:fencing:

Yes that would be good, they could probably make it cheaper too, imagine a 1000cc version of the Renny, there are some good engines for a quad, the Suzuki SV1000 is a very compact V twin with tons of power .
ZZR1200-nice :scared::D

I would like a V-Twin Quad, I've had V-Twin bikes and they are soooooooo different than the fours. I love the grunt, low down gruuuuunt, less gear changes, great engine braking - I do fancy a V-Twin quad but not a Can-Am.
The ZZR is a great tourer but I think it might need to e chopped in for a litre sports bike next year, had it four years now and its done me good - been to the south of france and back no it no sweat.

I saw a nice SV1000 in our local shop, naked streetbike version just over £4K, the Triumph Speed Triple would be good too .

Problem with the naked bikes is at any speed the wind is too much for me, they are great for a suday afternoon potter but if you want to doa ny serious miles you need a fairing.
The Triumphs just dont do it for me - not reliable enough and always just slightly short of the mark.

True, my last bike was the new version of the Bonnie, a really nice bike with open pipes etc, not earth shatteringly quick but very torquey and smooth with loads of character and great looks, it turned heads everywhere it went .

Not anit Renegade - they are top bikes, just the only bit thats really really solid is the engine... I know people that have had to have new frames, new wheels etc etc. Perts seems to be an issue, getting them quick enough.... and they dont stand up to well to a bashing.... but they are top machines:frusty:

I had a go on Trevor and Garys Outlanders yesterday, was very impressed by the almost turbine smooth engines and transmission, the comfort i would say is second to none, they felt huge after my Predator and they felt so planted to the road, it was a strange sensation of being almost totally isloated from the surface being ridden and would imagine they are superb for long road trips .
It was a big step up from my quad in terms of smoothness and comfort, a bit like going from a small sports coupe to a Cadillac .
Would i like one ? --of course i would :D
