Hi,
I've got a couple of mates who seem to be possibly interested in quads but are not quite so bold with the purchase as I was.
One of tham has a trailer which would easily take my quad, so he suggested I find somewhere that they can both rent a couple of decent quads, I can take my own and they have a full day having fun to see how they get on.
I've found this guide, but its not helping a lot so far..

Any suggestions ?

Hmmm difficult one. There are not many places where you can rent a quad under reasonable terms.
There are a few 'lesuire parks' that offer guided Quad bike tours but none where you can basically rent and then do as you please. I believe this is an insurance issue. Anothing i found is that places where you rent dont usually allow people to bring their own either. There are exceptions to this but few. Heres one for a starter

From the website:-
"Update on own Quads & Trail bikes service....
Due to recent actions by the North Yorkshire Moors National Parks, we were forced to suspend our commercial involvement in providing services offered to people wishing to use their own Road Legal Quads & Trail bikes in our area.
This drastic action was taken in order to prevent any further disruption to our other activities. At present This service is no longer available from Moorland Adventure Sport.
Last week we were successful in securing a GRANT from Yorkshire Forward directly aimed at us providing this service to people with their own Quads & Trails bikes. This is great news & clearly demonstrates that at least some of the Authorities recognise the need & importance for such a service.
We are now communicating with both the National Parks & Forestry Commission in order to try & provide a solution which will allow us to re-instate this service for our customers - please hang in there chaps!"

But your right, they either rent them or let you use the land on your own machine. Dont seem to let you rent them and use the land at the same time.
