Would you believe it ...just washed my quad after yesterdays ride and the right hand rear suspension (the actual red metal coil) is totally snapped!
Oh well off to the garage for repairs.

Ouch !!!!! Your not having a lot of luck with the Outlaw at the moment are you.
Hopefully all the teathing problems will be sorted very soon. Polaris are good on warrenties so you should'nt have a problem with it.

Just posted re damage in another thread-oh well , that must have happened when you came off the quad on that rut .
Springs are usually pretty tough things .

Just got back from Berry Farm Services ...Steve he has never seen a snapped spring like that before ever!
Anyhow he is doing it under warranty but he has to charge me the difference between what he get from Polaris as an allowance and his normal hourly rate for labour. Anybody else had this ? Its not an issue, i'm just interested.
He is also doing my 1st service and putting a sprocket on the back with 2 less teeth. Not doing front right now as it would mean loosing the chain guard.

never heard of anyone charging like that, it may be an idea to check with Polaris, if its a warranty failure then i dont think you should have to pay for the labour which i dont think will be a particularly big job .
Have you tried negotiating with him seeing as he is servicing your quad and doing other bits .
hope its back on the trails soon, do you think it broke when you had your prang ?

Not sure when it broke, maybe it actually caused the accident when I went down the rut and it snapped ??
Steve said he has no problem doing any warranty work on my bike, but as I didnt buy the bike from him he only gets a small labour allowance from Polaris which is much less than his normal hourly rate. He said he has to pass ths difference in cost onto me for any warranty work.

I would think its an extremely rare occurance, maybe the spring twisted in a certain way when you went down the rut, i have done the same many times and never suffered a broken spring, hope the difference in labour charge is not much, shouldnt be, just think though, if you had got a Honda or something else, you might have had the nearest dealer 100 miles away !
