Adding bits to my rene for fitting before I get it, the dedicated rene winch at 1500 ILBS seems a bit light compared to what I have seen on other models, decided against spending another 1k on the metal underparts, just ordered the rear skid plate in metal, plus heated grips, also an aftermarket rack and kolpin box, 32"x15"x8", should be able to get plenty of stuff in there.

Don't forget that 1500lbs is still (roughly) double the weight of the quad, so if it's a 'real' 1500lb winch (rather than a 500lb dead lift, 1500lb rolling load) then it's still perfectly capable of lifting your quad vertically with you still on it. 2500lb is overkill (but just about justifiable) for a quad. 1500lb is plenty, IMO.
