1000cc Renegade - TPFT you would be mad!

Warning; the Renegade is the most sought after quad for theft in the UK I was told, and that’s why the premiums are so high. My 2009 800R Rene is just over £300 pa for fully comp.

Welcome to the world to quad bikes…

:amen:

Any thoughts ?

You have spent a small fortune on a quad with some extras too so why skimp on insurance, fully comp is the only way to go in your case !

The insurance quote I guess OK (any no claims) the tracker is the killer as for tpft its a lot cheaper may take the risk considering how much use on road
Do you still need the tracker on 3rd party ? :rain:

you're right Raptorman the tracker is the issue not the premium, waste of time according to my buddy who knows more about car alarms than anybody, he used to even have his own column in one of the motoring mags, only any good if you get jacked at the lights! a lambo maybe, quad nah!

been back onto bikesure re the tracker, they are saying that the company they use now Trinity, will not insure and quad fully comp without a tracker!!.
Will put this as a new post as well.

I'm guessing max no-claims on both bike and car and a less desireable quad (Traxter 500) go in my favour. TPFT is 160 all-in, comp is 260.

Not convinced the extra fun of the sports quads is worth the extra money to buy, maintain or insure :) I'm not envious of your insurance quotes at all :D

both my quads are insured with bikesure , my qz500 09 reg = 163 f/c
and my pred troy lee 2 years older they wanted 220 tpft , but after a slight argument over value and year of both the quads i got it down to 140 tpft ..
ive recently done a deal with falcon as im sales admin on qh that they will after jan 12 beat bikesure on any quote for any quad .... and even add a 20% discount to any new user ......
dont need to be a brain surgeon to guess who ill be using next year (not bikesure) :rip_1:
always worth playing each company off against each other for the best quotes then choose :fencing:
