Has anyone got any intresting Winter projects that they will be carrying out on their Quad ?

I have a couple of definates and some ideas for my Scrammy.

Firstly, new exhaust and air filter. Its difficult choosing an exhaust, i want something that will enhance the performance but doesnt sound like thunder. Warrior's quad almost bursts my ear drums when he starts it up. :)

Im also want to fit a datatool snitcher and find a way to mount a two-way radio (one on order).

Sill thinking about the braking mod too.

Of course the best modification would be to remove the scratches from the plastics, but now we are taking rediculous !!!:bangin:

danny, the first mod i would do is the braking system, its the most important safety item on your quad and one you need to be happy with .

Steve berry is going to Quote me for it.

I wouldnt mind doing it myself but you need a lot of parts and they have to be exactly right. If i did it myself it would be exactly how i want it, and i could change it as i needed it

Other problem is it MIGHT then fails the MOT, noones really sure.

danny, the mot is not due on yours for over two years so i would not worry about it, you probably wont have the quad then anyway .

I'm going to fit some heated grips to mine this afternoon to stop my little hands getting cold. You have to think about these things when you get to my age! Seriously though, I had them on my BMW motorbike and they were so good in winter.

They are now fitted and I went out this afternoon to test them. Wow are they hot, if you have them on setting No5 you need gloves on to stop your hands burning! 5 settings on the grips and 5 settings on the thumb warmer.

I bought this winter pack kit in Canada in the summer but since then I have fitted a dual throttle - twist and thumb so the hand grips on the throttle side are the wrong size, you need motorbike grips for that side so yesterday I bought a motorbike kit and fitted the grips from that kit and the electronics from the Canadian kit! So if anyone wants 2 ATV size grips [ heated] and the switch off the other kit [ off - start - on ] let me know.
