Just done this on my Renegade and it’s transformed the shifting on it no end, a great mod and for less than £12.00.

Or is that a modified bearing ? what is the fault if this is not done
Question for yur Chris should i be able to move shifter from park to netural when engine not running i know i have to apply foot brake to release but it only wants to move if the engine is running hope i am clear on this

You can't change gear when the engine is not running as the primary and secondary clutches are not spinning, your right in that you have to apply a brake to engage gear, this is a safety design from Can Aim due to the massive engine torque, and it covers both the engine and rider.

The bearings over a period of time gets stiff in spinning and when this happens shifting between gears gets a tad difficult this is called "The Can Am bump" everyone who has had a Can Am knows about this. The bearings are just normal 6808-2RS which you can get off the shelf or like I did on the net, the must is the lube you must use Isoflex grease and this cost a fortune, Lloyd was kind enough to send some up when bought some gear off of him recently. With yours and Ty’s Renegade’s being new you should not have this problem for at least a couple of thousand miles mate.
