Ok, the plan for the next ride .
Gary (upperdeane) has got his new Outlaw quad and wants to ride for the first time with us, his quad is brand new so it will be a nice relaxed ride at his running in speed .
We can do a circular route of Basingstoke taking in some great byways and off road riding and some good country lanes, lunch can be bacon butties and tea at Popham airfiled (our regular stop) where we will do some video of NJK showing us how to power slide .
The emphasis will be on a relaxed ride with a chance to have a chat and a pukka bacon butty .
We will get muddy Gary LOL
Meet at 10am at Morrisons petrol station in Basingstoke this sunday morning .

Ok thanks, im not too worried about the trek, would just be a bit more interesting if i had someone else to ride with on the way there.
Is it me or would changing to off road tyre's decrease my top speed? It was like i was missing my top gear last time i put them on?
RED PRED
6th November 2007, 01:23 PM
if you meet us at the start of the byway then its only a 10 minute or so ride from Alton

I am sure everyone on here will agree that the ride on sunday will be fine for your bike, its the sort of ride that will be ideal for running in, Upperdeane is also running his quad in .
When running in you need a ride with varying speeds and loads on the engine so sunday will be good .
I can do sundays ride barely ticking over, no worries mate, just enjoy LOL .
Am i right in remembering you are getting a QZ 250, it will be spot on for on and off road riding .
Looking forward to meeting you .

A good day out, just one small point, i think the car park shennanigans at Popham got just a little out of hand, I myself am also guilty of this, i did not think anyone would race all the way up and down the hill like that and kick up all that dust, please can I appeal to you to refrain from doing this next time we go there as Popham is a great place to go on a ride and they have always made us welcome and provided us with refeshments in our hour of need, we dont want to get banned .
THANKS GUYS

Hiya guys (and graham), yep im the one that was 2 wheels short of a full quad :(
bloody hooligans tearing up and down the car park at popham, dont get me doing things like that ;)
Was an intersting ride with a few things to keep us seasoned riders amused... lol (oh for a helmet cam)
best part was the friendlyness from a nice group of quadders....
Next time i will be back with a vengence (and hopefully malcom and dave) to make a super huge group.
Riding home was not good. It got dark and rained and could not see where i was going on them dark unlit roads due to refraction from car headlights on the rain on my goggles.
Strange how the road home seemed to be twice as long as it was on the way there ????
