Welcome to the site, where are you from ?
To ensure your quad is road legal and fully meets the requirements of VOSA etc, I would say putting your quad through the SVA process would be the first step .
It would be a good idea to phone some quad dealers for their advice and if you still dont feel happy, phone the department of transport and VOSA for advice .

Hi Everybody,
I'm from Swindon, Wiltshire.
I'm currently hugely overweight, and need to re-start the hobby/sport, that will help me lose some weight :o
I have a Yamaha 660r MY02 which I bought new from Turners in Stroud, I rode it for just over a year, mainly with Cotswold Enduro Club, and some Greenlaning around Swindon and Marlborough, and ever since it's been in a mates garage.
As I said in my other post, I registered the quad as an agri a long time before the idea of road registered quads became so popular. However, being old 34, and wanting to abid by the law, I'm not sure I can continue to use it as it is, or to get it converted and SVA'd.
I'm not into riding around town on the thing, just green laning, and possibly some more enduro type events.
Are you gents using 4x4 type quads for laning or sport type quads?
Do you ride enduros?

Hi Elliot,
We have a mix of 4x4 and 2x4 sports quads.
Our main activities center around greenlaning but people have all manners of intrests some are race orientated, other like playing in mud.
Have a read in the events section and you'll see the kind of things we get up.
All our quads are either homologated for road use or SVA'd.
We have some cool plans for next year, hope you can get your quad sorted and take part.
Cheers
Danny

I would not worry too much about being overweight, this club is also known as `the berkshire and hants mid life crisis and pork pie appreciation society`, we have a few of us (nearly all) who are carrying some excess baggage LOL
