what is the best gearing for a raptor 700 currently running 15 front and 38 rear whats your views ?

15/36 is good, makes for a nice relaxed cruise on road, you will lose a bit of acceleration though and 5th gear will be a bit sluggish below 35mph .

it all depends on where you mostly ride your quad, if on the lanes then IMO you probable already have a good set up, with quick accelration and about 75MPH top end, as i belive u are already +1 tooth on the front

if is more roads that you do then go with what the ginger one said:nitro:

I agree with above unless you will be doing a lot of road use.

Most rides are mostly on roads anyway, I have never worked out what % of each ride is off road but I would guess its around the 25% mark ??

I used to like my long gearing because the engine was very relaxed and fuel consumption around 50mpg was nice, on the lanes it made no difference at all, just more enjoyable I think .

15/40 will feel quicker but will rev higher in gears, top speed may be lower as well, should wheelie nicely ;)
