Having done a few hundred miles on my moped I thought it time to post a few words and pics .
Its a nice little bike and perfect for a first time green laner like me, it is light and agile but does need a bit more grunt, I have had a look at the air filter intake and I would say that a snail would become asthmatic breathing through the snorkel this bike has got, I believe the exhausts can be modded to allow the motor to breathe properly, reading through some related forums it seems these bikes are set up very lean at the factory and many up jet the carb, so there is room for a bit more poke, I do not expect huge gains though as it is a very simple low tech reliable engine .
Fuel consumption is amazing, 69 miles on 3.5 litres !!
I was sceptical about the 2450 miles the speedo had on it when I bought it but after taking various bits off for cleaning etc I would say the mileage is genuine, all nuts and bolts have come apart easily, the engine runs as sweet as any I have heard and the expected corrosion is confined only to areas prone to stone chips, like the swing arm welds which have not been dressed properly when built, the usual Jap way, apart from that its in very good nick .

I must say its looking nice and clean G :)
What size is your exhaust header pipe ?????????
And if I were you I would undo your valve stem nuts and do them up againts the valve caps as I see no rim locks so any tyre creep will go unnoticed and will rip the stem out :welcome:

It wont be for long Johnny, the exhaust header is 32mm Johnny, the rear wheel has got a rim lock on it but not the front, will loosen off the front stem nut, cheers .

The mirror is on my list Carl, I will get one of those small tool bags to strap on the seat and a few basic tools and spares for the trails .
I have ordered one of those lift stands that I posted up on here, I might look for a front mudguard extender to stop the sh*t being thrown onto the engine .

I bought one of those lift stands and have to cut it down an inch and a half because of the engine protection fitted, glad I bought a grinder not long ago !
At least the stand was not too expensive !
