Xlc 300 not ticking over

Hi I'm new to this forum and just wondered if I could get some advise..when I go to start my quad it doesn't tick over all I can hear is the igniton noise but it's not sparking..it some times works but know I have to keep bump starting it..could it be the starter relay or some thing else?? And where do I locate the problem???

Do you not mean "when i try and start my quad it does not turn over, all i hear is a clicking noise" ?

If so then has to be a dodgy electrical connection...
Undo connections, clean up, lightly grease and re attatch

could have worn out plugs worth checking them out if youve never replaced them or looked at them , you need to check terminals on starter as secret says :)

Sorry my bad..it's not turning over..iv found the starter relay and had to put a adjustable over it and it started..so I'm guessing it's that??

if youve checked ALL electrical connections involved with the starting system then it may well be that.
