If like me you have a silver frame and the front arms are a bit lacking of paint!! then i have just used Hammerite silver smooth spray paint and it's near on a perfect match!! I have used this paint on land rover wheels and have found it very hard wearing.

I have used on my old landys that have been properly abused and jet washed and has lasted the length of time. Its £10.99 a can so a little expensive.

Waxoyl do an underbody black wax paint finish that drys like concrete. Slightly abrasive when finished, not smooth and shiny. Comes in a spray can and is available from Halfords or the like. Much tougher than paint.
Having said that if you can get your A Arms off and get it to somewhere to powder coat you will get the best finish at a pretty good price. See my thread on powder coating. Price seems to be dependant on the boss as its a fill in job. Or better still ask Johnnyboy I think he has one in his shed.
