What do you think quads will be like in 5 years time, how do you think they will develop and what would you like to see in future quad design .

I would like to see a lot of emphasis on weight reduction using aircraft type materials, more stuff like carbon fibre, titanium and designs that allow existing materials to be lighter, ie composites .
Also, I would not like to see an increase in the use of computerised systems because of the expense and complication, I dont think it is necessary on quads .

I think the renegade is a good indication as to whats to come. I know it has a few problems but i think electronics and technology is the name of the game.
I can also see a big increase in 4 wheel drive in the sports quad genre. Many aprreciate the benefit this brings. Its just the weight and complexity that keeps it back at the moment.
Unfortunatly, this will all add to price increases as well.

All very true, all the technology is not necessary but will happen due to the environmental brigade wanting cleaner engines .
Did you know that car engines are more powerful than they have ever been but are stifled with emission controls and extra weight of all the luxury and safety gear like AC and airbags, in a way cars are becoming less efficient in order to be cleaner - huh ? extra weight of pollution controls and luxury uses more fuel - how ironic is that ?
