Well it's been a busy weekend but I'm now the pround owner of a 2008 Raptor 700 SE4 :) All seems ok so far and a big thanks to Nelly for checking it over today!
I will post some pics once I work out how! A few questions that you guys may be able to advise on:
What wheel spacers are recommended? - Should they be fitted front and rear or is rear only ok?
Can anyone recommend what twist grip to go for?
Look forward to getting it dirty :)

Your quad looked good today Andy, where did you get it from ?
Wheel spacers-go for rear only, front can upset your steering and leave your front discs/calipers exposed too much IMO, solid billet ones are best, I have got 50mm wide aluminium ones-avoid those carbon type ones you can see that are cheap and those bolt extender types .
Try the link below, they will have what you want and will get it to you quickly, I got my twist and new grips from there

To post pics you need to resize them, if you need help let me know

no problems mate, didnt really do much.
Graham how easy was the twist grip to fit. did you need a new cable/use existing one, what about grips, is it better to go for new ones or will the old ones fit ok. i think the old grips will come off relative easily;)

The twist was easy apart from the fiddly bit on the throttle body which needed a bit of care as it was a bit awkward to get to, you have to fit a new cable as supplied, I got new grips at the same time, to get the grips off and on easy just get an air compressor and blow it into a hole in the end of the grips, they ballon up and slide off, you can use hairspray as a lube which then sets just right, obviously get grips as for a bike and not a quad with a thumb throttle .

Thanks! - it was on ebay but i managed to check out the history as they guy that had it got it from a dealer in October. The spacers on atv2u under yamaha are 40mm but only list the 660 not 700 ( 83-425 REAR WHEEL SPACER ). Is this the right ones?
I will look at the twist grip too - the thumb thottle is making my thumb ache! - maybe just not used to it!
Thanks!
