Has anyone any experiance of going on a Muddytrax event in essex ? They advertise some cool off-road riding places, quarries ect wich they offer a few sundays a month.

Might be worth checking out. I really need to get my quad transport sorted.
Theres load of places i want to go,

Meant to go this year but still have not got round to it. The best one looks like the old quarry, I will go with you if you are thinking of going there.

Nige, Lets do it early next year 08 is frighteningly close now !!! Christmas is far too soon, have to start buying presents soon . Muddytrax are day events i believe. I'll hire a van for the day to get the quad there.

Wellzy, it would be good to meet you there, however its a hell of a long way from Northumbria and i dont think it would be so good to justify it. All the muddytrax areas are right on the south cost , thats got to be near 440 miles each way, flappits would be much closer.

Im still hoping we can do the isle of white ride early next year too. YP is going to organise it.

I've been looking at that place too, some of the events look great. There appears to be some sort of day event on every other weekend, I'm up for trying it.

If it helps out I dont mind picking another bike up on the way, got a LWB van.

Im looking to sort some permenent form of Quad transport very soon, van or trailer thats the decision.

I have got a SWB Iveco daily, the good lady uses it daily but its good to use at the Weekend if I just want to take one Quad. If I'm taking mine, hers and the kids I use a LWB Iveco Daily with a Tail lift, fits all four quads and all the gear in.

For me van wins everytime, the trailer makes me feel like a caravaner:o too slow on the mortorways, not secure etc.

If its just one quad to transport then a SWB low roof van is perfect, I go with the Iveco's as the chassis is build like a s*it house but any smaller van like a Vivaro, Transit, Relay etc will do if itas just for social use and not a workhorse. If the budget stretches, a Merc Vito is a great van for one quad, lovely to drive, like a car, good performance (especially the 110) and reliable. The last thing you want is a slouch, nothing worse than being forced to plod along the M/Way @50...
