I gotta say Martin I think there a good idea, almost every quad is fitted with one and I have yet to see one not be able to reverse out of any situation with one. Trigs KTM dosnt have one and its a wee bit scarey how fast that thing goes in reverse but one slight twitch of the bars and you will be on your head with it on top of you lol

Ps did you see that someone was trying to sell you a airbox lid over on that other site

I be Trig like it that way. In fact maybe he should try binstead swap in reverse lol

Is it common that reverse is restricted on Quads. Not say i ahve noticed with mine. I will say its vey difficult to see where you are going in reverse. Its strange and not like being in a car.

Would be quite easy to reverse off a cliff if I ever went near one.

I have to gun it in reverse as I tend to stall the damn thing. Damn glad it has a reverse though.

I found the QZ pretty good for power wise when reversing. The 660 coughs and splutters and 90% of the time it will stall.

the 660 reverse limiter cuts at 2000 rpm, useless unless you are on a flat surface and no head wind.. .. Pux is right.
the 700 does not have one !
Look by the gear shift.
The green/white wire is covered with black sleeve. Connects to sensor near shifter. Its the lower of the two sensors there. The other is the neutral sensor.
Pull the L shaped connector off and connect the wire to the frame/engine (earth)
you will then have unlimited rpm backwards but will loose your reverse light on dash..

Is that he 700 does not have no limiter??

the 700 does not have a limiter in reverse, instead yamaha fitted a speed limiter in 5th Grrr... but also pretty easy to bypass.
you can get some serious speed up in reverse..
Davey.h (where is he now?) and myself has a race across empshot common in reverse, at night !!

A while back i used to drive mini tank called a Sparten. They would go just as fast backwards as they would forward now that was scary as you would have to rely on the commander of the vehicle as you eyes!!! It was just like the one in the picture.
