At long last after first meeting this group nearly a year ago I took delivery of my QZ 450R.

Bought blind over the net it has turned out exactly as described. 2 and a half years old with 600 miles on the clock and never been off road. It even had the plastic protection for speedo still on.

It arrived at 0600 hrs this morning and I immediately took it to work in the dark. I had to push it in to the parking space because I couldn't work out how to get reverse. LOL.

Coming home this afternoon I just had to christen it off road. Not a wise decision as I had my decent motorbike gear on and it ended up minging. Can't wait for Sunday.

Daylight photo to follow tomorrow.

It is. Just suffering from not being used. Got out this afternoon for an hour and was it fun. Fast sliding is fun on a Quad.

Got a slight problem with it at the moment. But I am sure it will soon be fixed.

Got to work on a cheap way to fit a Memory Map 2800 to the handlebars.

Heres the daytime photo.

When it comes down to pure adrenalin filled fun, only a SPORTS quad is good enough !!
Nick, there is a QZ dealer in Froyle ;

Graham,

My replacement parts should be here mid week. So as long as I manage to fit them right I should be good to go next weekend.

Seems someone overfilled the oil tank and its ruptured it. Pretty minor stuff really but best to be on the safe side and fix it proper before I use it again.

Just glad this came from a dealer. One indicator didn't work either which is also being replaced. Just goes to show how tuff the Quad MOTs are up North. LOL.

I really enjoyed zooming around the Overton Byways today and doing some more technicel stuff in the pits at the start of the trail.

Seems like this Quad can do all that stuff in second. I know its been mentioned on here how low 1st is but I really didn't need first. Second seems to be fine even when accelerating from nearly a stop.

Getting used to the thumb throttle as well.

Suspension seems to be set up fine for me now as well after I tinkered with it.

Looking forward to the future with this baby.

It certainly looks good, those QZ450s are a real bargain used I reckon, you paid less than half the price of an equivalent Raptor and have a quad just as capable, for economy quadding they are superb value, as for gearing, thats easy and cheap to change to suit your needs .

Graham,

Aftre we spoke today I went back and checked my throttle stop. I don't have one. Well I have a little hole where the screw used to be so I guess I am getting full power. I have a foam filter as well so this baby looks like its derestricted. Must put a little screw in there to stop the dirt getting in.
