hi all.... just need so advice and make sure i am on the right tracks....

i noticed the temp running hi last time i was on the quad. only when not moving. after examining it i found the fan was not switching on.

so today ( mot tomorrow ) i checked all connections. it seems there is no fuse. so that made life easier. i looked along the wiring and it goes from fan to relay....relay to temp switch.

so the first thing i did was to run power to the fan motor and that works.....

the next thing i did was short the temp swicth but still nothing.

would anyone agree that it must be the relay?

is there something i am missing here?

i know it wont make any difference to the mot but it would be great to have it working

No i wouldnt agree ! there will be a given resistance at a given temp to check sender unit and without knowing that info you will find it hard to check the sender.
Relays are cheap so bung in another one maybe then when the same fault is there you will know its the sender unit ?

Ha stupid unreliable quadzilla..............

you are a proper crafty buther pux...........

thanks for the advice secret.....

i think by luck and luck alone i found that the fan switch in the rad has stopped working. i have now fitted a manual switch inline and done away with that one for now....

so i now have a manual switch to turn the fan on..... i will replace the broken one though

Just thought I would mention that when I had a QZ300XLC the only thing that went wrong was the thermo switch !
