Welcome to our site snakeyes .
There are lots of places around Hampshire, not so many around Reading, just flat byways and a few fords .
Sunday will give you a treat .
To upload photos you will need to resize them, I make them 1000x900 pixels and they seem fine, I use VSO Image Resizer, a good free tool .
To upload photos, you just make a new thread or put a post on here, go down to the manage attachments button, click and you will see the upload box, choose your photo and click upload, then close the box and submit the post-easy !

I am looking forward in meeting you all on sunday.
Does anyone know any good shops where I can buy body armour from? I have currently bought an animal lid + googles, what else do I need that is classed As essential kit for off roading? I'm on a bit of a budget at the moment as my quad cost me £4200. I have got around £300 left to spend on kit.

you are better off buying some good wet weather riding gear than a set of body armour as it does get a wee bit muddy sometimes, most good jackets have built in armour but I just toss it as I am a big fat knacker that just bounces :amen:

?? when did I say that ??

Personally I would not bother with body armour, if I was riding a bike off road yes but a quad no, they are so much safer and harder to fall off generally, there are some who would disagree though .
Johnny is right, waterproofs are definitely a must even on dry days you can get covered in mud .

ok thanks for the advice everyone.
I have only had the quad a week and have been commuting to and from work, which is a 40mile round trip. How reliable is a raptor 700 engine? Will 200 miles a week be too much strain for it? My car is shot at the moment so i am using the quad as my main mode of transport. Is there anything mechanical that i need to check or replace regularly?

Some of us do nearly that many in a days riding !!
Should be no problem as its the Yamaha bike engine, as long as you dont constantly hammer it then you should not have any trouble with it .

Rear bushes/suspension/linkages need greasing occasionally ;)

Be careful when setting a mouse trap near your bush !!
