Anyone fancy a swap for a 4x4 quad

I let my heart rule my head and bought the 450 when i should have gone after a 4x4, so if anyone is interested in a swap ideally i am after a Quadzilla 500e or something similar.

I love the 450 the power the looks and the road manors but it grips me when i get stuck on a poxy rut (yes it probably is my riding not the quad lol)

When i first got my quad i used to get stuck all the time, I know people go on about the clearance etc but i think once you get more experienced it is not a real problem.

I think also that sports quads area a lot more fun and personally i would not go the 4x4 route.

As you havnt been out with a group of sports quad I think you may be a bit premature in your decision mate, every one of us gets stuck sometimes and if its bad others will allways help to get the thing out and I think thats what its all about a load of grown men bonding in a rut!!! plus summer is around the corner ruts get smaller rider get braver all the 4x4 boys hybernate

I cant believe you Pux,it took all us sports quad riders ages to be able to ride without constantly getting stuck, practice makes perfect, it takes a lot of judgement and skill to avoid getting stuck sometimes and you want to get a quad that requires none of that, good move mate LOL

I spent 9 hrs solid last week riding all sorts of byways and today i spent a good 4 hours riding, i have made my mind up we cant all like sports quads. My old utility was a great little bit of kit and yes would easily get over the byways and maybe at times too easy. But at the end of each lane i could still see and not look like i have been dragged behind the quad. Sorry if i have just upset the sports brigade but freedom of choice all that dear chap.:amen:

I seriously argree with pux on the mud and water subject, the first lane Trig Fran and myself did on sunday is no more than a 1/2 mile end to end and we were absolutly plastered head to foot in black smelly filth

We bolted overfenders to it and for ages I got very little mud splashed over me. Since I put bigger wheels and tyres on they stick out further and I am back covered in mud again !!
