My insurance has just come up for renewal and was quoted £541.32 this included - Fully comp, personal accident & road rage cover, UK & Europeon breakdown recovery & motor legal protection & protected no claims bonus and with 2 years no claims bonus.
We all know the lovely people at Bikesure, they promise to get the best renewal deal for you because they "value your custom and will prove it" by beating any more favourable price you may of obtained elsewhere, they deal with many companies but fail to check with all of them for the best deal for you, as I have found out and they love to keep you on hold for as long as possible.
I did phone several companies but found none of them could beat what I had been quoted, but I was sure I could get a better deal!!!
Great I found the NFU, they didn't want to insure me as I didn't have any other policy with them but managed to get them to give me a price to cover my bike and yes it stuffed Bikesure out of the water :D by nearly £100, so with this I went back to Bikesure told them what I had been quoted and they said please wait while we check for a new price, low and behold they came back with a new company and a new price £443.10 cheaper than the NFU by 52p, so guess what I'm insured by them for another year.

Who is insured with who? and what price do you have to pay? are you fully comp? do you have breakdown cover?
Would love to see what we get charged for insuring our quads.

Insurance on quads is a real rip off when you consider the very low mileage most quads do and the fact that they are relatively slow when compared to the speeds cars and bikes can do, my policy was twice as much as my triumph bike which was much faster than any quad on the market .
Insurance is probably high because of the number of quad thefts and the fact that the insurance companies are greedy wotsits .

My insurance is £500 ish a year, thats third party, not covered for theft etc - thats with no points (not declared anyway ;-) ) and no no-claims.

Hopefully it will fall a long way this year or maybe i could go fully comp for the same price.
