I noticed today just how scratched the Plastics on my bike are.

Considering i have only had it for about 4 months, they look like a ice skating ring.

Has anyone got any tips on how to restore and polish plastics. In the Polaris handbook it mentions using furniture polish, but i dont think its very good.
I Also use back to black as well.

I have no solutions as to scratches though.

/Bump.

Anyone got any advice about this ?

Why do they make them so easy to scratch, stupid when you thing that Quads/ATV are off road vehicles.

i don't no, but i hear that a lot of people on quadsuk use it when they clean there quads, they said it stop's mud sticking as much as it use to and also clears away scratch's, i'll have a look in my cuboard as i have some stuff for my quad that i used to get rid of scratches:cool::cool:

you cannot get rid of scratches unless you either rub down the whole area to the level of the deepest abrasion or fill them and respray, either way the plastics will get more scratches, if only they would make plastic bodywork with a scratch resistant coating, then it would not work, my newest glasses came with a scratch resistant coating and a week after they were scratched

The scratches are just getting worse and worse.

Sooo.... heres an idea.... Stickers. Never really liked the 'chaos' sticker theory on quads, but i might just start adding some selective tasteful graphics to hide the that fact the Plastics are scratched to f***

This is going to be a challange as i havnt seen many tasteful quad graphics.
Think ill give the QH ones a miss :D No offence to QH of course.

It is an unavoidable pain in the neck, lovely shiny new quad plastics ruined after the first ride, mine are terrible now, the only way to avoid it is to never ride off road and wear ballet shoes .
Have you seen the price of stickers/graphics

tyre foam is good for cleaning and helps the mud sticking but thats about it i just buy the cheap stuff and it works
plastics only way it to buy new and keep one set for good tuff and scratched set for off road or just a new set when you sell it

Just hide them with some good graphics.
