Have you seen this Sean, based on the old mini, a Cooper S motor in it would be fun,

With your mechanic`s skills you could build it fairly quickly I reckon .

Well, there is the Superbyke Traveller 1100i.
It is about £8k new, does 85mph in std trim but apparently can be tricked into 105mph.

Here is a used one on ebay for £3,400

Not sure if it is too big to go down byways??
Would be fun with a 1300cc MG metro turbo engine

Nice but pricey.
I need a car as well & need to justify the amount of money getting spent on to fun vehicles.

Sounds A bit suss to me
Why not fit the starter motor??? Maybe ring gear is damaged?
If you were selling a bit of kit like this then you would ask for more. Unless something is wrong & parts/problem hard to fix.
I`d rather pay more than buy an old lemon
