Seeing as Johhnyboy is a fan of the Kwak 450 quad, I thought I would help him out by looking for one for him, this is what I find, very suitable I think !!

cheers graham I liked it so much as its the same colours I want I bought two LOL . there was one advertised at Kent the other night and it sold before my very eyes, had all the goodies bolted on went for £3900 , I think that was a bargain, me and Trig are trying to find someone that owns one that might be persuaded to let us have a little bimble as you never know it may not be what I hope it is like to ride,then I may have to look at a raptor :hurt: not in any rush as the old QZ does every thing you can ask of it and has been totaly reliable so it will do untill something that tickels my bits turns up hey

James your right in the fact they do seem a bit small(not me bits graham)but not as small and low as a ktm , thats why I need to find one somewhere to see if its what I really want then the hunt will begin

They are not very good for service, I have made two orders from them in the last month or so, both times they forgot to process my order, each time I had to ring back and ask them to actually do the business, so a typical next day delivery order took over a week each time-crap service, the only reason I went there was because no other dealer had the parts I wanted .
That off in the puddle is funny, he was not even going at a great speed, must be like the Bentworth puddle where if you go on the left side (or right) you spin round and go into the hedge LOL

Johnnyboy, I saw in Quad mag January issue, that the new KTM 525 road legal is £7745 plus on the road costs .

Alas not available till mid january Graham!!! Went out and found a copy of the mag, got to say it wasnt a very good review, not once did it mention that the beast comes restricted and if you unplug a brown wire it then comes alive with all its power, dindnt say that at least you can adjust the valves! definatly a case of putting a extra base gasket on for longer service intervals me thinks, any one whant to buy my QZ

You can buy two used Raptors for that money!! then you can become one of the Berk and Hants Raptor gang. As for me I have looked at buying a KTM for ages now but wanted a used one cos what ever way you look at it the sort of money for a new one is madness although you do get the best finished best put together quad made that will run circles round a Raptor in the dirt,for road/lanes use a Raptor is going to be the better choice but as I wanted to do a enduro or two I wanted the best tool for the job ie KTM

At your age the winning of enduros is a faded memory so why kid yourself that you need the best quad available, any quad with reasonable performance would do for you my aged friend :kiss::):sorry:

Thats because they only rate chinky or QZs highly, I dont rate that mag but hey ho !

Yamahas have 8 out of the top twelve in the dakar atm including 1-8 with one honda at 5.
Ktm,s are still in the pits doing oil changes ;)

Are you sure they are road legals Johnny, I have read of prices up to £8250 so I would be a bit wary of £6400 ?

Go for it Jonnyboy i enjoyed my little flutter with the enduro world, I think i would do it again, as my first attempt i was a little nervous, its worth having a go just to do the track (except the big hills as Carl pointed out lol)

Yes Johnny, but that is an off road price, remember the cost of SVA etc can be over £1500 !!

? Nah, back on the once a year dakar rally which is great to watch, trucks,cars,bikes and if you are quick you may see a quad ;)
shame there is so little coverage on tv but i guess 30 mins is better than nothing.

I like the dakar also as its a lot to do with the durability of the machinery rather than 20 mins round a track and who,s the best rider.

Andy i've been a fan off the Dakar for over twenty years since Porches used to win the car class but dont see what it has to do with Johns comment about wanting the best quad for enduros. BMW's boxer engined bikes dominated for years but you wouldn't want to ride of them in any other event or even green lane the beasts.
