Iv'e been looking for the perfect green laning GPS system for a while now, and at last i think iv'e found it.

What i need is a GPS that meets the following criteria.

1) Must be able to use Memory map software. This would provide navigation using full color OS maps

2) Must be comfortably mountable on the bars in such a way that its easy to see when your driving.

3) Must be totally weather + mud and crap proof.

4) Must be able to interface with a PC and easy to use.

5) Must also be able to use as a road satnav system

Its been very hard to find one that good. Memory map generally only works on PDA's and PDA's are fragile, and not easy to mount on bars.

Finally a company has introduced a dedicatedted, weather proof device that mounts on bars and can be loaded with memory map (OS maps).

Im a happy man, well almost - i need £300 quid to buy one. Im telling you guys this is the one thats perfect for Quads - and I want one.

Heres the link

Can also be used as a speed camera detector. :) Oh and it also plays mps3's apparently.

I've been looking at the road angel sat navs and that 1 seams the best one, we just need to search the web for the best deal that we can find, did see a 2nd hand one, just 3 months old on ebay for £240 2 weeks ago.
Red Pred has mm disc, i think? could that be put onto a sd card and used in a sat nav?

Havnt had much of a chance to play with it yet. But ive had it working using the satnav, safty camera detector and Memory maps. It has a large very clear display and the satillite sensitivity is excellent with no problem in getting signal indoors. Its IP06 rated which means it withstand high pressure jet wash without any intrusion or malfuction due to water.

The Mounts are really good quality, hopefully ill have it on the bike by the end of the weekend.

Only disadvantage i can see so far is that the battery life is only 8 hours and its an internal battery so you cant carry a spare with you.

Happy so far :):)
