Bah!!!!

Puctures while on on a trails - a real pain. After the last one i filled the back tyes with some green stuff called 'slime' that i bought from the local M/C shop.
It stopped the hole i had and has held so far so good.

I also now carry a off road tyre repair kit with me, i hope i dont have to use it though as it looks a bit of a pain. Something un-nervingly un-natural about repairing a puncture by first puttting a bigger hole in it whith a corkscrew !!!

This brings me on to......

How do you get a type repair company to be intrested enough to remove/put on a tyre for you using their machine. Seems a bit hit and miss and depends on whos on duty at the time and how busy they are. Most make a lame excuse, 'wont fit on the machine' when i know it will as ive seen them do it before.

You can buy Kenda Bear Claws from any Reaction dealer mail order.

I use derbyshire quads. www.derbyshirequads.co.uk but any reaction dealer should be able to supply them.

NJK,

I have a big thorn right through one of my rear tyres from our ride on saturday. I took it out and the slime expanded to fill the hole.

Have you seen those 'tyre jonny's' ? Foam rings that you put in your tyres to provide support should you get a puncture. look good but are expensive.

Blah,

Had another flat this weekend , upon investigate not a puncture. The value core was actually loose. Never had that one before. Tightened it with a value core tool and all is well now. Think ill add a valve core tool to my grab bag.
